Another desert painting. This is the view from our daughter Sharon's house in Mojave, CA. The little marks on the mountains are windmills. There are many windmills in Mojave. It was very dry, windy and hot when we were out there a few weeks ago, around 100 degrees (F).
This is an acrylic painting, 11" X 14". I enjoyed working on it and as always learned something new. This time I learned that I need to lighten up my sky color at the horizon before I paint the mountains. Apparently it doesn't work well if you try to do it after the painting is finished (according to my teacher).
More windmills - this is a photo I took from a different location in Mojave.
