Birds and Costa Rica

Oil painting, 11" X 14". This is an anhinga bird drying its wings. I enjoyed my trip to Costa Rica several years ago and took lots of photos of birds and other animals.  The jungle is very colorful.
I spent most of this month on this painting and I'm calling it done now. It's time to move on to something else.

Despite being retired, I don't always find enough time for painting. I'm trying to do at least one painting each month this year.  I also accepted the position of treasurer of the local art association, Treasure Valley Artists Alliance.  I hope the other artists will keep me motivated to learn more about art. They are all doing interesting work.
