Oil painting on stretched canvas, 11 X 14.
This is another painting from Alberta, red rock area. I think I need to work on it more as the shadow on the mountain seems to me to be an animal with a long tail. My husband doesn't see it so maybe that is just my imagination.
Meanwhile, I was tired of oil paints and cleanups so I took out my old watercolor pans and brushes to play with on a sketchbook. I copied drawings from a Chinese painting book, but did not have the correct paper for that painting. I think I gave away those papers when I moved to Idaho, almost 3 years ago, so I just played with what I have.
I enjoyed doing these and will practice some more on them as we are still restricted to home due to the virus. Stay safe wherever you are.

Psalm 121
I created a card from my recent painting. This is oil painting on stretched canvas, 11" X 14". I added the words for the card to give it some uplifting thoughts in this difficult time. I painted this from a photo I took in the Canadian Rockies in Alberta, Canada several years ago. We love our retirement and being able to travel, but now we are staying home just like everyone else.
We did go for a walk along the river yesterday (Boise River, greenbelt trail in Eagle, Idaho). Saw lots of families out walking. We did not let our dog go swimming, but other dogs were in the river chasing sticks. It was good to see.
Stay well everyone.
Rest of the psalm for those of you not familiar with it:

Rest of the psalm for those of you not familiar with it:
1A song for ascents. I shall raise my eyes to the mountains, from where will my help come?
2My help is from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. |
3He will not allow your foot to falter; Your Guardian will not slumber. |
4Behold the Guardian of Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. |
5The Lord is your Guardian; the Lord is your shadow; [He is] by your right hand. |
6By day, the sun will not smite you, nor will the moon at night. |
7The Lord will guard you from all evil; He will guard your soul. |
8The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in from now and to eternity. |

In the Tetons finished
All varnished and ready to go to its new home in NH. 16" X 20" acrylic on gallery wrap canvas, commissioned painting from the buyer's photo. I probably would have enjoyed doing this in oils, but it would take too long to dry. I will be bringing this back to NH in April when I visit.
I got a good start on this one yesterday. Oils, 11" X 14". I hope to continue working on it today or tomorrow. I might add a little marmot too since he was there in Alberta in the next photo I took of this place.
