does Linda share posts of her work, but she shares interesting, informative
articles, humorous posts, opportunities for artists in her area, and inspiring
work from other artists. Linda is a valued member of AAM and is an
inspirational member herself. She continues to realize the importance of
painting as she deals with hand tremors, and, to me, that’s a gutsy, positive
approach to keeping the faith and allowing the art to take you in different
directions. Linda, I can’t even tell you how motivational you are! So happy you

It was fun to try it.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEighPFhATz7eaGz0qJ75cs6KnsRZUwCQRA9gmr19dRmPfhRdWIouhekfeoPjJxZDHaOARY7BUc0WBfdMm-F61Xwwf4-UY7R6rOEGqmdKVK2Cp7KLzSFIgqAsYL9o9AuBrIcsZjeMw6U6LBCQZSbNhfh1gRG72tUXlEj2UfYzRQU2ZBQ_ovMRJTZJD9vKcdi/s750/IMG_0233012.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="563" data-original-width="750" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEighPFhATz7eaGz0qJ75cs6KnsRZUwCQRA9gmr19dRmPfhRdWIouhekfeoPjJxZDHaOARY7BUc0WBfdMm-F61Xwwf4-UY7R6rOEGqmdKVK2Cp7KLzSFIgqAsYL9o9AuBrIcsZjeMw6U6LBCQZSbNhfh1gRG72tUXlEj2UfYzRQU2ZBQ_ovMRJTZJD9vKcdi/s320/IMG_0233012.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUBS47paYoJBwuLRSL02CAbp_G4o7ZFcuffInz2CTpylpaPWRT0whCt3XgWm0rYWda7kz2GBvf3mIAZJ5PE09LG690buRSBi2luj_nprlQxIqu9qPpbsRIX7AKLO10dW1mI0cTAvZ-PzMdawdiQqEVWoTF616al8V9Ywk0jOk76DC_OlAgJEmkdZoUaQmt/s750/IMG_0234013.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="563" data-original-width="750" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUBS47paYoJBwuLRSL02CAbp_G4o7ZFcuffInz2CTpylpaPWRT0whCt3XgWm0rYWda7kz2GBvf3mIAZJ5PE09LG690buRSBi2luj_nprlQxIqu9qPpbsRIX7AKLO10dW1mI0cTAvZ-PzMdawdiQqEVWoTF616al8V9Ywk0jOk76DC_OlAgJEmkdZoUaQmt/s320/IMG_0234013.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYipAkV2CMSFpBoDNZjj2w7O8-QAJyGEDhQCJBpRGwZQe4vYG8QcP1I9Pg5yOmMWS6tdcKJoS8cdoij1oPrjF8pYcjp9s-i-a3zB4c16uC4s8ExCbW4GieYWPx-QXDdibo0zXcy5-iydmx6daRmH8Qd4k_2UKa2LkBuaBTGIIIP2Nm6aj2s9_l5eXTEJTr/s750/IMG_0235014.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="563" data-original-width="750" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYipAkV2CMSFpBoDNZjj2w7O8-QAJyGEDhQCJBpRGwZQe4vYG8QcP1I9Pg5yOmMWS6tdcKJoS8cdoij1oPrjF8pYcjp9s-i-a3zB4c16uC4s8ExCbW4GieYWPx-QXDdibo0zXcy5-iydmx6daRmH8Qd4k_2UKa2LkBuaBTGIIIP2Nm6aj2s9_l5eXTEJTr/s320/IMG_0235014.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p>Luxury camping. The cabin had some heat, bunk beds with mats (I brought my own sleeping bag), indoor toilets and showers. There were also yurts that did not have those facilities. The campers who stayed in the yurts had to walk out to another building for the toilet and shower. I was happy to be in a cabin with only 6 campers. We all had lower bunks. It was a 10-15 minute walk to the Lodge and meals, only a few minutes to walk to the barn where I took some classes. One was a guided meditation, excellent class. I remember doing that when I was seeing a therapist many years ago. Very relaxing and helpful.</p><p><br /></p>Linda H. I have done very little painting with gouache, but I had a few tubes to play with. I actually prefer painting with oils, but they take a long time to dry and I don't always have the patience for that so I decided to do some paintings that would dry quickly.<div><br /><p><br /></p></div>Linda H. They were open on Memorial Day and advertising a flyover. This was definitely a worthwhile trip. We enjoyed looked at all the war memorabilia, the engines and the planes. We stopped when Covid started. I'm looking forward to it even though it is a long day for us. I will have cards and a few prints for sale. Joe has 8 or 9 books that he published. Some non-fiction, but most are thrillers (fiction). He will sign the books for buyers too.<p></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>Linda H. Not sure if I really used any white. I was inspired by an online video from Nial Adams (bottom photo was my original). Then I couldn't decide what to finish the painting with. I looked across the street in the evening and I've always admired the tree there no matter what season, so I painted the winter branches and fence, then added more bare branches. I'm letting this dry before I do any more details.<p></p><p>Oil painting on 12" X 16" canvas board.</p>Linda H. The exhibit will be up for the month of March. The<a href="https://www.internationalgalleryfineart.com/" target="_blank"> Avianne gallery </a>is moving to a new location in April, but the owner is waiting to announce it when the construction is finished. I am excited knowing that the new place will be accessible and my friends will be able to go there. The current location is up a flight of stairs (no elevator). That limits some of my friends and even I don't like stairs any more. Here are better images of the two paintings in the show: Monarch amid the mums and Spring flowers at Grace Church. <p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgT3WGyXQLM5E321VLrQ_LuooQf1eecAkInqfqkLz0d_nUmC6fWGTSK2tRnZiMnGM5rm37e0GHxIsYWfu2oMARnYEtuqIFXm0zxAKxn1RIPRwEVYdi1dnY6GeimPn7rKDeP_IpTOXq1hS_R0QqRvybcrzptwmvhMLXAGSHvsu7_Q20WspIOy7xDAeiSfw/s2782/Monarch%20framed.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2782" data-original-width="2328" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgT3WGyXQLM5E321VLrQ_LuooQf1eecAkInqfqkLz0d_nUmC6fWGTSK2tRnZiMnGM5rm37e0GHxIsYWfu2oMARnYEtuqIFXm0zxAKxn1RIPRwEVYdi1dnY6GeimPn7rKDeP_IpTOXq1hS_R0QqRvybcrzptwmvhMLXAGSHvsu7_Q20WspIOy7xDAeiSfw/s320/Monarch%20framed.jpg" width="268" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmBSAmrjO1NV7gTOkCQq0xsUQD4-a96t_DdMeHDkNVB7MX5ZpcdcfZCaRP2yEHe21E1DxBNxITY-s6-QavkNk-g-pFaG4BbB5m0_ccwxqewdMAR9bY7kLz_RWv7v4PGfr-HXncnW-aoRmKbg9ES2-C7fst6jbuEKHb_hLZs5Zd8kWgVmQxkA1M4afMGg/s3018/spring%20flowers%20at%20Grace%20Church%20framed.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3018" data-original-width="2556" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmBSAmrjO1NV7gTOkCQq0xsUQD4-a96t_DdMeHDkNVB7MX5ZpcdcfZCaRP2yEHe21E1DxBNxITY-s6-QavkNk-g-pFaG4BbB5m0_ccwxqewdMAR9bY7kLz_RWv7v4PGfr-HXncnW-aoRmKbg9ES2-C7fst6jbuEKHb_hLZs5Zd8kWgVmQxkA1M4afMGg/s320/spring%20flowers%20at%20Grace%20Church%20framed.jpg" width="271" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>Linda H. He browsed in my studio and bought this old painting. It was one that I had not shown anywhere. I think he liked it because it was totally different from my landscapes and flowers. Anyway, I signed it and titled it "Surprise". It reminded me of a Jack in the Box popping up. We had a good time talking and I had just ordered some prints from him so I was really surprised that he wanted to buy something from me.<p></p><p>This was a fun playdate (years ago) with a friend at her studio. She pulled out some panels and some acrylic paint pouring supplies and told me to just have fun. I did! Looking at the image, I think I might have been thinking about some lizards I had been painting in the past, but this guy reminds me more of a dragon with his big teeth! </p><p><br /></p>Linda H. The Jewish new year starts at sunset on Sunday, September 25th. The Jewish calendar is a lunar one and this is also the new moon. The rabbis picked this from the Torah readings, first day of Tishri. It celebrates the creation of Adam and Eve and our world. The 10 holy days until Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) are a time of reflection and returning to ourselves. We listen to the call of the shofar (ram's horn) as our ancestors did in the past.</p><p>There are many videos online about the holiday and the shofar. I liked this one. <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgviT2ywVDk" target="_blank">Shofar blowing</a></p><p><br /></p>Linda H.
